Statement: " I first learned bookmaking while studying abroad. I learned about the structure and history of the book and how important it was and still is in shaping our world. A book is a familiar object that everyone has encountered, and for that reason people easily make connections with books. I quickly learned books can not only contain pictures and words, but can also become sculptural beings to hold physical objects and memories.".
